Market Wrap International:

Major markets in the U.S. ended the most recent session with a cautious tone as investors weighed uncertainty over the Federal Reserve’s future leadership after President Donald Trump nominated Kevin Warsh, alongside mixed earnings and inflation signals that kept traders on edge; Wall Street’s major benchmarks closed lower, reflecting pressure in technology and broader risk assets while precious metals’ sell-offs compounded volatility. European equities ended the most recent session with extended gains, supported by a raft of corporate catalysts that helped lift the pan-European STOXX 600 and ease investor concerns from earlier volatility, signaling resilience in cyclicals and defensive sectors even as some profit-taking emerged; broader regional sentiment remained constructive amid ongoing earnings flows. Asian markets ended their last session with broad weakness as global sell-offs in precious metals and Wall Street futures spilled into equities, hitting key Asian indices including South Korea’s Kospi and Japan’s Nikkei where risk sentiment was dampened by cross-asset volatility and liquidity pressures.
