Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Wednesday, dropping by 69 points (-0.6%) to close at 12,233. The index opened unchanged and then started to decline throughout the session. 14 out of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, while 141 shares fell and 95 rose. Materials ‎‎(-1.7%), Banks (-0.3%), and Utilities (-2.1%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, ACWA Power (-2.7%), Aramco (-0.7%), and Saudi National Bank (-1.8%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume by -1% to reach 217mn shares, while the value increased by 9% to reach SAR5.8bn in value traded.

 

 

Market Wrap International:

The S&P 500 edged higher Wednesday by 0.01%, but finished off its highs as investor sentiment cooled amid renewed tariff concerns and anticipation for Nvidia’s results. In the S&P 500, information technology led gains, rising 0.89%, followed by utilities at 0.37% and communication services at 0.09%. The Nasdaq gained by 0.3%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by -0.4%.

Corporate earnings fueled gains in European markets on Wednesday, with major indices closing at record levels as investors also weighed a key minerals pact between the U.S. and Ukraine. The CAC 40 rose by 1.2%, the DAX gained 1.7%, the Euro STOXX 600 advanced by 1.0%, and the FTSE 100 edged up by 0.7%

Asian stocks advanced Wednesday, with Hong Kong’s Hang Seng rising 3.3% amid a tech-driven rally, while other major regional indices also posted gains. The SHCOMP climbed by 1.0%, the KOSPI gained 0.4%, while the NIKKEI 225 edged lower by -0.2%.
