Market Wrap International:

Wall Street ended Friday mixed as investors balanced strong corporate earnings with uncertainty over the Federal Reserve’s next policy move. A resilient labor market and firm inflation data kept expectations for near-term rate cuts in check, while gains in industrial and energy shares helped offset mild weakness in technology. The S&P 500 rose 0.1 %, the Dow Jones added 0.2 %, while the NASDAQ fell -0.2 %.

European equities closed broadly lower amid renewed concerns over growth and persistent inflation that could delay the European Central Bank’s easing cycle. Financials and consumer stocks led losses as cautious comments from ECB officials weighed on sentiment, while exporters struggled on a stronger euro. The FTSE 100 declined -0.5 %, DAX slipped -0.7 %, CAC fell -0.2 %, and EURO STOXX 600 dropped -0.5 %.

Asian markets weakened as risk appetite faded following weak Chinese trade data and continued foreign outflows from regional equities. Technology and export-oriented names led declines, pressured by yen strength and concerns over global demand. The Shanghai Composite lost -0.3%, KOSPI tumbled -1.8 %, Nikkei 225 fell -1.2 %, and Hang Seng retreated -0.9 %.
