Daily Market Monitor 24-02-2025

Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Thursday, gaining 71 points (+0.6%) to close at the 12,388 level. TASI started the session negatively, opening with a fall of 8 points, but then gradually increased until the end of the session to closed at highest point. In general, 12 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 95 shares rose while 137 fell. Banks (+0.8%), Telecommunications ‎‎(+2.5%), and Utilities (+1.9%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, ACWA Power ‎‎(+2.4%), Saudi National Bank (+2.1%), and Etihad Etisalat (+5.4%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume by 15% to reach 272mn shares, while the value decreased by -1% to reach SAR5.9bn in value traded.

 

 

Market Wrap International:

In the U.S., CB Consumer Confidence for February is set for release on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. This will be followed by Q4 GDP (QoQ) on Thursday, February 27, and the Core PCE Price Index (YoY) for January on Friday, February 28.

In the Eurozone, January’s CPI (YoY) will be released on Monday, February 24, 2025, followed by Germany’s Q4 GDP (QoQ) on Tuesday, February 25. To end the week, Germany’s February CPI (MoM) is set for release on Friday, February 28.

China’s Manufacturing PMI for February will be released on Friday, February 28, 2025.
