Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Friday, decreasing by 87 points (-0.7%) to close at the 11,958 level. TASI started the session positively, opening with a raise of 7 points and started to decrease gradually until the end of the session. Overall, 18 out of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, while 163 shares fell and 65 rose. Banks (-0.9%), Utilities (-1.6%), and Real Estate (-1.1%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, ACWA Power (-1.7%), Al Rajhi Bank (-0.3%), and Al Rajhi Bank (-0.6%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume and value of -20.2% and -11.5%, respectively, to reach 857 mn shares and SAR7.2bn in value traded.

 

 

Market Wrap International:

Stocks ended Friday near their highest points of the session, propelled by an unexpectedly strong jobs report that reinforced the robustness of the U.S. economy and enhanced expectations for a soft landing. The S&P 500 experienced an increase of 0.9%, the Nasdaq Composite saw an incline of 1.2%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 0.8%.

On Friday, European shares rose, supported by an unexpectedly robust U.S. jobs report that reduced fears about growth in the largest economy. However, they experienced a decline on the week as escalating Middle Eastern conflicts kept investors on edge. The CAC 40 rose by 0.9%, the DAX climbed by 0.6%, while the FTSE 100 decreased by -0.02%.

Asian stock markets are mostly up Friday. Traders remain cautious due to escalating tensions in the Middle East. The Hang Seng Index climbed by 2.8%, the NIKKEI 225 rose by 0.2%, and the KOSPI decreased by 0.3%.
