Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Tuesday, gaining 50 points (+0.45%) to close at 11,145.55. The index opened 11 points above its previous close, but before closing it faced selling pressure, yet remained in the green zone. Overall, 13 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 114 shares rose while 141 fell. Banks (+1.0%), Energy (+0.6%), and Insurance (+1.4%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Alrajhi (+1.2%), Saudi Aramco (+0.7%), and SNB (+0.8%) were the major contributors to the index rise. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume and value of -23% and -29%, respectively, to reach 235mn shares and SAR 4.7bn in value traded.

 

 

Market Wrap International:  

U.S. equities ended mixed as investors rotated out of technology and semiconductor shares ahead of the Federal Reserve’s policy decision, while easing oil prices and lower inflation concerns supported financials and industrials. Market sentiment was also influenced by optimism surrounding a preliminary U.S.-Iran agreement that could restore oil flows and reduce energy-related risks, while continued strength in SpaceX shares remained a notable market theme. The NASDAQ declined 1.2%, the S&P ‎‎500 fell 0.6%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.6%.

European equities ended higher as lower oil prices and improving risk sentiment following progress toward a U.S.-Iran agreement supported cyclical sectors, particularly banks, industrials, and defense companies. Investors also positioned cautiously ahead of upcoming central bank decisions, while the decline in energy costs helped ease concerns about inflation across the region. The FTSE 100 gained 0.6%, the DAX rose ‎‎0.1%, the CAC 40 advanced 0.8%, and the EURO STOXX 600 increased 0.2%.

Asian markets ended mixed as investors balanced improving global risk sentiment and lower oil prices against continued weakness in Hong Kong technology shares and caution ahead of major central bank developments. South Korean equities outperformed, supported by renewed interest in technology and growth sectors, while Chinese shares were little changed amid subdued domestic sentiment. The KOSPI gained 2.1%, the Nikkei ‎‎225 rose 0.1%, the SHCOMP declined 0.1%, and the Hang Seng fell 1.4%.
