Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) declined on Thursday, falling by 27 points (-0.2%) to settle at 11,841. The index opened slightly lower, down by 4 points from the previous close, and continued to fluctuate throughout the day. Despite a brief rebound and some gains in the end of the session, TASI ultimately closed in the negative. Overall, 12 out of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, while 131 shares fell and 98 rose. Utilities (-1.6%), Materials (-0.5%), and Food and beverages (-0.7%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, ACWA Power (-1.9%), Saudi National Bank (-0.6%), and Aramco (-0.2%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value of 64% and 13%, respectively, to reach 691mn shares and SAR5.4bn in value traded.
