Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Wednesday, dropping ‎by 123 points (-1.1%) to close at 10,591. TASI opened 38 ‎points lower than the previous closing level and continued to ‎decline gradually until the end of the session. Overall, 21 out ‎of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, while 231 shares fell and ‎‎18 rose. Banks (-0.6%), Materials (-1.2%), and Real Estate (-‎‎2.5%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. ‎Stockwise, ACWA Power (-3.3%), Riyad Bank (-2.6%), and ‎Maaden (-2.0%) were the major contributors. The trading ‎activity witnessed a decrease in volume by -8% to reach ‎‎229mn shares, while the value increased by 25% to reach ‎SAR6.2bn in value traded.‎

U.S. stocks closed lower on Wednesday as investors reacted to the Federal Reserve’s decision to keep interest rates unchanged and growing concerns over U.S. involvement in the Israel-Iran conflict. President Trump departed the G7 Summit after finalizing a trade deal with the UK, though he pointed to challenges in talks with Japan and the EU. The Dow slipped modestly, with losses led by Energy (-0.68%), Communication Services (-0.67%), and Materials (-0.33%). The Nasdaq rose by 0.1%, while the S&P 500 dropped by -0.03% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by -0.1%.

European markets ended lower as investors remained cautious, closely watching escalating tensions in the Middle East. The CAC 40 experienced a decline of -0.4%, the DAX decreased by -0.5%, the Euro STOXX 600 saw a dip of -0.4%, whereas the FTSE 100 increased by 0.1%.

Asia-Pacific markets ended mixed in volatile trading, as investors reacted to rising tensions in the Middle East following President Trump’s call for an immediate evacuation of Tehran and his early departure from the G7 Summit. The Nikkei 225 experienced an increase of 0.9%, the KOSPI recorded a gain of 0.7%, and the SHCOMP noted a 0.04% raise, while the Hang Seng index registered a -1.1% drop.
