Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Wednesday, ‎dropping 100 points (-0.88%) to close at 11,244.99. The ‎index opened 4 points above its previous close, but it ‎recovered some losses before the close; however, it still ‎ended in the red zone. Overall, 19 out of 21 sectors ‎closed in the red zone, and 76 shares rose while 176 ‎fell. Banks (-1.3%), Materials (-1.1%), and Utilities (-1.6%) ‎sectors contributed the most to the index decline. ‎Stockwise, Alrajhi (-2.0%), SAB (-3.3%), and ACWA ‎Power (-2.2%) were the major contributors to the index ‎decline. The trading activity witnessed an increase in ‎volume by 2% to reach 281mn shares, while the value ‎decrease by -10% to reach SAR5.0bn in value traded.‎

 

 

Market Wrap International:

U.S. equities ended higher as Treasury yields mixed and gains in large-cap technology stocks lifted sentiment, with investors also supported by earnings optimism and stable Federal Reserve expectations. Growth and AI-linked names led the advance, while broader participation improved across cyclical sectors. The S&P 500 rose 1.0%, the NASDAQ advanced 1.6%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.7%.

European equities ended lower as cautious corporate updates and lingering macro uncertainty weighed on sentiment, limiting the positive spillover from stronger U.S. markets. Consumer and industrial sectors underperformed, while defensives provided only modest support in a subdued trading environment. The FTSE 100 declined -0.2%, the DAX fell -0.3%, the CAC 40 dropped -1.0%, and the EURO STOXX 600 slipped -0.3%.

Asian markets ended mixed as investors balanced global technology strength with regional economic concerns and sector-specific pressures. Gains in South Korea and mainland China were supported by semiconductor strength and policy expectations, while Hong Kong lagged due to weakness in property and internet stocks. China’s SHCOMP rose 0.5%, South Korea’s KOSPI gained 0.5%, Japan’s Nikkei 225 advanced 0.4%, while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng fell -1.2%.
