Market Wrap International:

U.S. equities ended with major benchmarks supported by rebound in technology and cyclical sectors as investors absorbed swings in precious-metals prices and solid earnings. Strength in storage and travel stocks underpinned risk appetite while Treasury yields modestly ticked higher, tempering safe-haven demand and supporting equities. The S&P 500 rose 0.5%, the Dow Jones gained 1.1%, and the NASDAQ Composite advanced ‎‎0.6%, reflecting broad participation in the rally.

European equities ended on a broadly positive note, with stocks across the U.K. and continental markets catching a bid amid easing global risk sentiment and solid sector trends in retail and banking. The FTSE 100 advanced 1.2%, the DAX increased ‎‎1.1%, the CAC 40 rose 0.7%, and the EURO STOXX 600 climbed 1.0%, as miners and discretionary names helped lift indices after softer commodity prices and improved manufacturing data.

Asian markets are trading with clear divergence as regional equities lag global peers amid renewed risk-off sentiment tied to tech and export-oriented stocks; major benchmarks are under pressure despite some rebound attempts. The SHCOMP is down ‎‎-2.5%, the KOSPI has declined -5.3%, the Nikkei 225 is lower by ‎‎-1.3%, and the Hang Seng is down -2.2%, reflecting persistent weakness in China and South Korea after recent sell-offs.
