Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) Rose on Monday, gaining 125 points (1.1%) to close at the 12,008 level. The session opened ‎‎13 points higher than the previous closing level, and it started to gain positive momentum and gradually increasing to close above the previous session. In general, 19 out of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, and 55 shares fell while 171 rose. Banks (+2.3%), Materials (+1.3%), and food and Beverages (+0.9%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Al Rajhi Bank (+2.8%), Maaden (+4.3%), and Alinma Bank (+3.2%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed a significant increase in volume by ‎‎300% and value by 29%, to reach 1.2bn  shares and SAR5.8bn in value traded.

 

 

Market Wrap International: 

World markets showed mixed results on Monday after U.S. stocks reached record highs at the end of a strong week. U.S. futures were also varied, and oil prices saw an uptick. The S&P 500 fell by -0.2%, the Nasdaq Composite increased by 0.3%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased by -0.8%.

European markets experienced a downturn on Monday, with investors focusing on upcoming corporate earnings and rising concerns over tensions in the Middle East. The CAC 40 and DAX both fell by -1%, while the FTSE 100 declined by -0.5%, reflecting a negative trend across European markets.

 

On Monday, Asia-Pacific markets displayed mixed results as traders evaluated China’s announcement regarding its loan prime rate, with attention also on Japan’s general election approaching at the end of the week. Similarly, world shares had a mixed performance after U.S. stocks reached record highs to conclude their latest winning week, while U.S. futures varied, and oil prices saw an increase. Asian markets experienced mixed results, with the Hang Seng falling by -1.6%, the NIKKEI 225 decreasing by -0.1%, and the KOSPI rising by 0.4%.
