Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Tuesday, decreasing by -24 points (-0.2%) to close at the 12,015 level. TASI opened 11 points lower than the previous closing level and began to decline during the first hour, then fluctuated until the end of the session. Overall, 15 out of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, while 140 shares fell and 86 rose. Utilities (-1.1%), insurance (-1.9%), and health care equipment and services (-0.9%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, ACWA Power (-1.5%), Maaden (-1.6%), and Saudi National Bank (-0.6%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume by 52% to reach 985mn while the value decreased by -7% to reach SAR5.7bn value traded.

Asian markets saw modest gains on Tuesday as investors approached trading carefully, with heightened volatility surrounding the upcoming U.S. presidential election. In Asia, the SHCOMP advanced 2.3%, the Hang Seng climbed 2.1%, and the NIKKEI 225 saw a modest rise of 1.1%. In contrast, the KOSPI dipped -0.5%.
