Tadawul Review: 

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Sunday, gaining 21 points (+0.2%) to close at 11,812. The trading session began on a negative note with a -37 point decrease at the opening but gradually increased before the middle of the day, before starting to slightly decrease toward the end of the session. In general, 11 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 115 shares rose while 116 fell. Utilities (+3.1%), Insurance (+2.8%), and Materials (+0.6%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, ACWA Power (+4.0%), Maaden (+2.9%), and Saudi National Bank (+0.9%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume of 2% to reach 517mn shares, while the value fell by -62% to reach SAR4.2bn in value traded.

 

 

 

Market Wrap International:

As a weekly average, the major U.S. indices posted solid gains: the S&P 500 rose 1.4%, the Dow Jones gained 1.8%, and the NASDAQ increased 1.5%.

As a weekly average, European indices mostly declined: the FTSE 100 fell 1.03%, the CAC dropped 1.3%, the DAX was nearly flat with a slight dip of 0.06%, and the EURO STOXX 600 declined 0.6%. The British October 2024 Consumer Price Index (CPI) year-over-year data will be released on November 20, while the Euro Zone's CPI data will be available on November 19, offering key insights into inflation trends in both regions.

As a weekly average, Asian indices had mixed results. The SHCOMP gained 0.2%, while the Nikkei 225 saw a marginal dip of 0.04%. However, both the KOSPI and Hang Seng faced significant declines, falling 4.6% and 4.7%, respectively, reflecting broader regional challenges.
