Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Thursday, gaining 84 points (+0.78%) to close at 10,776.32. The index opened 55 points above its previous close, but before closing it faced selling pressure, yet remained in the green zone. Overall, 18 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 193 shares rose while 61 fell. Media and Entertainment (+4.9%), Utilities (+2.9%), and Food & Beverages (+2.7%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Alrajhi (+1.8%), ACWA Power (+4.1%), and Almarai (+3.3%) were the major contributors to the index rise. The trading activity witnessed an decrease in volume and value of -21% and -20%, respectively, to reach 253mn shares and SAR 5.2bn in value traded.
