Market Wrap International:

Global markets closed last week higher after the Federal Reserve delivered its first rate cut of the year, boosting risk appetite and sending U.S. benchmarks to record levels led by technology and growth shares, though the Fed’s cautious tone kept inflation and labor concerns in focus. European equities tracked the U.S. momentum, but gains were capped by lingering cost pressures and fiscal worries. In Asia, sentiment was uneven: Japan’s Nikkei and South Korea’s Kospi advanced, while China’s SHCOMP stayed subdued and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng slipped, highlighting the region’s ongoing growth and currency headwinds.
