Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Sunday, gaining 34 points (+0.3%) to close at 11,485. The index opened 53 points above its previous close and continued to rise for a while before starting to decline. It experienced some fluctuations before closing but remained in the green zone throughout the session. In general, 17 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 168 shares rose while 87 fell. Energy (+0.7%), Utilities (+0.9%), and Capital goods (+1.6%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Aramco (+0.8%), Riyad Bank (+1.7%), and ACWA Power (+1.1%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume and value of -40% and -56%, respectively, to reach 127mn shares and SAR2.6bn in value traded.
