TASI started the session negatively, opening 71 points lower than the previous close, then faced fluctuation until the end of the session. Overall, 16 out of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, while 185 shares fell and 51 rose. Banks (-1.6%), Materials (-1.0%), and Utilities (-2.0%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, Al Rajhi Bank (-2.6%), ACWA Power (-2.1%), and Saudi National Bank (-1.4%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value of 33% and 139%, respectively, to reach 477mn shares and SAR10.9bn in value traded.
