TASI started the session positively, opening with a gain of 3 points, then declined until mid-session. It later rebounded and closed in the green zone. In general, 16 of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 150 shares rose while 99 fell. Banks (+0.2%), Materials (+0.5%), and Energy (+0.3%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Al Rajhi Bank (+0.4%), Maaden (+1.7%), and ACWA Power (+1.2%) were the major contributors to the index’s rise. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume of -3% to reach 253mn shares, while the value rose by 6% to reach SAR4.3bn in value traded.
