Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Wednesday, gaining 90 points (+0.8%) to close at 10,914. TASI started the session on a negative note, opening 5 points lower than the previous close, but then gradually increased throughout the session to close at its highest point. In general, 17 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 145 shares rose while 100 fell. Banks (+1.2%), Utilities (+4.3%), and Telecommunications (+0.6%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, ACWA Power (+5.9%), Al Rajhi Bank (+1.1%), and Saudi National Bank (+1.5%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume by 124% to reach 678mn shares, while the value decreased by -2% to reach SAR4.3bn in value traded.
