Tadawul Review:  

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Monday for the fifth consecutive day, dropping by 39 points (-0.3%) to close at 11,214. The index opened 2 points higher than its previous closing level, then gradually declined until after the middle of the session, recovered some of its losses, but ultimately closed in negative territory. Overall, 16 out of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, while 190 shares fell and 60 rose. Banks (-0.2%), Materials (-0.4%), and Insurance (-1.1%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, Aramco (-0.4%), Riyad Bank (-1.5%), and Maaden (-1.1%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume of -6% to reach ‎‎238mn while the value increased by 13% to reach SAR4.5bn value traded.

 

 

Market Wrap International:

U.S. stocks inched higher Monday as investors brushed off fresh tariff concerns and shifted focus to upcoming earnings and inflation data. Communication Services (+0.73%), Financials (+0.67%), and Real Estate (+0.67%) led the gains. The S&P 500 climbed by 0.1%, the NASDAQ gained by 0.3%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced by 0.2%.

European markets ended lower on Monday as tech and retail shares dragged indices down, with investors on edge over renewed U.S. tariff threats. Gains in food and property stocks provided some cushion, but sentiment remained cautious. The CAC 40 fell by -0.3%, the DAX dropped by -0.4%, and the Euro STOXX 600 dipped by -0.1%, while the FTSE 100 saw a gain of 0.6%.

Most Asian markets climbed on Monday as investors took a measured view of fresh U.S. tariff threats targeting the EU and Mexico, choosing instead to focus on broader economic signals. The NIKKEI 225 slipped by -0.3%, whereas the SHCOMP increased by 0.3%, the KOSPI experienced a gain of 0.8%, and the Hang Seng posted an increase of 0.3%.
