Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Tuesday, losing 51 points (-0.4%) to close at the 11,957 level. The index opened 11 points higher than the previous closing level, but subsequently encountered significant selling pressure and fluctuated before it started to gradually decrease throughout the end of the session. In general, 16 out of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, and 165 shares fell while 56 rose. Materials (-0.9%), Health care equipment and services (-1.8%), and Utilities (-1.0%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, ACWA Power (-1.1%), Aramco (-0.4%), and Sulaiman Al Habib (-2.2%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed a significant decrease in volume by -58% and decrease in value by -5.7%, to reach 504Mn shares and SAR5.47bn in value traded.

 

 

Market Wrap International: 

U.S. stock futures fell, while Treasury yields stabilized following Monday's market downturn, as investors considered the future direction of U.S. interest rates. The S&P 500 fell by -0.05%, the Nasdaq Composite increased by 0.2%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by -0.02%.

European markets were down on Tuesday, with investors evaluating the earnings of key players in the region. The CAC 40, DAX, and FTSE 100 fell by -0.01%, -0.2%, -0.1%, reflecting a negative trend across European markets.

On Tuesday, most Asia-Pacific markets declined, following a varied performance on Wall Street. Asian markets showed mixed results today. The Hang Seng index rose by 0.1%, and the Shanghai Composite (SHCOMP) increased by 0.5%. In contrast, the Nikkei 225 fell by 1.4%, and the KOSPI declined by 1.3%.
