Tadawul Review:

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Sunday, gaining 90 points (0.8%) to close at 11,593. The index opened 63 points higher than the previous close and, despite some profit-taking, continued to post gains throughout the session. It ended on a positive note, with 17 out of 21 sectors closing in the green zone. A total of 215 stocks advanced, while only 34 declined. The Banks (+0.9%), Materials (+1.0%), and Telecom (+1.7%) sectors were the key drivers of the index’s performance. Among individual stocks, Riyad Bank (+3.9%), Al Rajhi Bank (+0.4%), and Maaden (+2.3%) were major contributors to the gains. However, trading activity slowed, with share volume dropping -36% and trading value declining -43%, reaching 277 million shares and SAR 4.8 billion.

Economists anticipate Beijing may respond with fresh stimulus, including rate cuts and fiscal support, to stabilize growth.
