Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Wednesday for the seventh consecutive day, dropping by 57 points (-0.5%) to close at 11,039. The index opened 5 points lower than its previous closing level. It experienced some fluctuations initially, then gradually declined until the end of the session. Overall, 20 out of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, while 195 shares fell and 51 rose. Banks (-0.2%), Energy (-0.7%), and Food and beverages (-1.4%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, Aramco (-0.7%), Al Rajhi Bank (-0.4%), and Almarai (-1.7%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume and value of -20% and -11%, respectively, to reach 217mn shares and SAR4.0bn in value traded.
