Market Wrap International:
U.S. equities ended mixed as strong earnings momentum in large-cap technology and AI-linked names supported sentiment, while elevated oil prices and some rotation into cyclical sectors weighed on the broader market. The S&P 500 rose 0.8%, the NASDAQ advanced 1.6%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell -0.2%.
European equities ended lower as persistent pressure from higher energy prices and cautious risk sentiment offset the positive lead from U.S. technology strength, with investors remaining attentive to inflation implications and corporate outlooks. Energy-linked cost concerns and weaker performance in industrials and consumer sectors weighed on the region, while defensives offered limited support. The FTSE 100 fell -0.7%, the DAX declined -0.1%, the CAC 40 dropped -0.8%, and the EURO STOXX 600 slipped -0.6%.

The Nikkei 225 gained 1.0%, the Hang Seng rose 0.2%, the SHCOMP declined -0.3%, and the KOSPI edged lower by -0.003%.
