Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Monday, gaining 136 points (+1.3%) to close at 10,710 level. TASI opened 13 points higher than the previous closing level and continued to rise gradually until the end of the session. In general, 20 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 225 shares rose while 20 fell. Banks ‎‎(+1.4%), Materials (+1.6%), and Insurance (+3.6%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Al Rajhi Bank (+1.6%), ACWA Power (+2.5%), and Saudi National Bank (+1.5%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume by -2% to reach 229mn shares, while the value increased by 9% to reach SAR4.0bn in value traded.

 

Market Wrap International:

U.S. stocks rose amid optimism that geopolitical tensions in the Middle East may ease, as recent developments were interpreted as unlikely to trigger further escalation. Oil prices fell and the dollar edged lower., while gains were led by Consumer Discretionary (+1.75%), Real Estate (+1.49%), and Consumer Staples (+1.30%). The Nasdaq gained by 0.9%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 0.9%, and the S&P 500 advanced by 1%.

European markets edged lower as investors remained cautious amid renewed geopolitical uncertainty in the Middle East, with recent developments prompting concerns about regional stability. The CAC 40 experienced a decrease of -0.7%, the DAX fell by -0.3%, the Euro STOXX 600 declined by -0.3%, and the FTSE 100 dropped by -0.2%.

Asian markets ended mixed as investors adopted a cautious stance amid elevated geopolitical uncertainty and awaited further developments in the region. The Nikkei 225 and the KOSPI saw declines of -0.1% and -0.2%, respectively, while the SHCOMP and the Hang Seng index experienced upticks of 0.6% and 0.7%, respectively.
