Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Tuesday, gaining 19 points (+0.2%) to close at 11,214. The index opened slightly below its previous close, then experienced some fluctuations before increasing to close at its highest point by the end of the session. In general, 16 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 142 shares rose while 116 fell. Energy (+0.7%), Materials (+0.8%), and Health care equipment and services (+0.7%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Aramco (+0.7%), Sabic (+2.6%), and Saudi Fransi (+1.8%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value of 27% and 4%, respectively, to reach 304mn shares and SAR4.5bn in value traded.

Japan outperformed on broad-based buying, while mainland China and South Korea posted modest advances amid selective sector participation. The Nikkei 225 surged 2.3%, the Hang Seng rose 0.6%, the SHCOMP increased 0.1%, and the KOSPI gained 0.1%.
