Market Wrap International:

U.S. equities showed a split performance as investors positioned ahead of key inflation data. Chipmakers and AI-linked names, including Nvidia, AMD, and Broadcom, surged on Oracle’s upbeat outlook, boosting the Nasdaq, while weakness in Apple, Amazon, and Salesforce weighed on the Dow. European markets softened as sentiment in retailers dragged, led by a sharp fall in Primark owner ABF after weak sales guidance, though expectations of central bank easing limited broader losses. The FTSE 100 fell -‎‎0.2%, Germany’s DAX -0.4%, and the Euro STOXX 600 -0.02% while France’s CAC managed +0.2%, leaving.

Asian equities advanced on steady foreign inflows and confidence in policy support, with gains extending across the region despite persistent caution on China’s recovery. The SHCOMP rose +0.1%, South Korea’s Kospi +1.7%, Japan’s Nikkei 225 +0.9%, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng +1.0%.
