Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Thursday, falling by -63 points (-0.5%) to close at the 11,667 level. Despite a positive start with an initial gain of 6 points, the index gradually declined until end of the session. In general, 18 out of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, while 193 shares fell and 36 rose. Materials (-1.5%), Insurance (-2.2%), and Utilities (-1.3%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, ACWA Power (-1.7%), Sabic (-1.5%), and Saudi Research (-4.9%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume and value of -9% and -4%, respectively, to reach 284mn shares and SAR6.7bn in value traded.

 

 

Market Wrap International: 

The key global equities index climbed on Friday, wrapping up a turbulent week with no overall change after a substantial sell-off earlier. The dollar dipped slightly, and oil prices rose due to concerns about supply disruptions from the Middle East conflict. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite both increased by 0.5%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 0.1%.

 

European stocks ended higher on Friday as global equity markets sought to recover from recent declines. FTSE 100 and CAC 40 both rose by 0.3%, while the DAX advanced by 0.2%.

 

Asian equities also advanced on Friday, buoyed by encouraging data from the U.S. labor market, which lifted U.S. stocks and supported broader market sentiment across the region. The Hang Seng and KOSPI both gained 1.2%, while the NIKKEI 225 rose by 0.6%.
