Tadawul Review:  

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Monday, climbing by 16 points (+0.2%) to close at 10,981. The index opened 18 points higher than its previous closing level and fluctuated throughout the session but ultimately closed higher in the green zone. Overall, 9 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, while 95 shares rose and 148 fell. Banks (+1%), Real Estate ‎‎(+0.4%), and Retailing (+0.6%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Al Rajhi Bank (+1.6%), Saudi National Bank (+1.2%), and Saudi Telecom (+1.1%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value of 9.6% and ‎‎35%, respectively, to reach 356mn shares and SAR4.3bn in value traded.

 

Market Wrap International:

US stocks ended mixed on Monday, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq setting fresh records as optimism over Big Tech earnings outweighed lingering trade concerns. Communication Services led the gains, rising (+1.90%), followed by Consumer Discretionary (+0.60%) and Materials (+0.54%). The S&P 500 climbed by 0.1%, the NASDAQ gained by 0.4%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped by -0.04%.

European stocks ended mostly lower as investors weighed a mixed set of corporate earnings and remained cautious ahead of potential clarity on U.S.-EU trade tariffs. The CAC 40 fell by -0.3% and the Euro STOXX 600 dropped by -0.1%. In contrast, the DAX advanced by 0.1% and the FTSE 100 saw an increase of 0.2%.

Asian markets rose in light trading, with Japan closed for a holiday, while investors kept an eye on political shifts after the ruling coalition lost its upper-house majority. The SHCOMP increased by 0.7%, KOSPI experiencing a gain of 0.7%, and the Hang Seng posting an increase of 0.7%.
