Tadawul Review:

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Thursday for the third consecutive day, dropping 88- points (-0.7%) to close at ‎‎11,811. The index initially opened 8 points below than the previous closing level but saw increased volatility mid-session before ultimately trending lower by the close. Overall, 18 out of 20 sectors ended in the red, with 194 shares declining and 47 advancing. Banks ‎‎(-‎‎0.4%), Telecommunications (-2%), and Real Estate (-‎‎2.4%) sectors were the largest contributors to the decline. Among individual stocks, Aramco (-1.1%), Riyad Bank (-2.2%), and Saudi National Bank (-1%) led the losses. Trading activity saw a 19% surge in volume, with 256 million shares traded, and a 26% increase in value, totaling SAR ‎‎7 billion.

 

 

Market Wrap International:

Wall Street reversed earlier losses on Friday as comments from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell lifted sentiment. In the S&P 500, utilities led gains with a 1.84% increase, followed by energy at 1.64% and information technology at 1.44%. The S&P 500 rose by 0.6%, the Nasdaq surged by 0.7%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average grew by 0.5%.

European exchanges closed lower on Friday, wrapping up an unsteady week driven by concerns over U.S. trade direction, the European Central Bank’s monetary easing, and fiscal overhaul talks in Germany. The FTSE 100 struggled to regain ground, weighed down by losses from President Donald Trump’s tariff policy shifts. The CAC 40 fell by -0.9%, the DAX decreased by -1.8%, the Euro STOXX 600 fell by -0.5%, and the FTSE 100 edged down by -0.03%.

Asian equities declined on Friday, tracking Wall Street’s losses as investors grappled with fluctuating trade policies from the U.S. and rising global economic concerns. The Hang Seng fell by -0.6%, the SHCOMP decreased by -0.3%, the Nikkei 225 fell by -2.2%, and the KOSPI lost -0.5%.
