Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Monday, gaining 6 points (+0.1%) to close at 10,839. TASI started the session on a negative note, opening 37 points lower than the previous close. The index continued to decline for a few minutes before beginning to rise until the end of the session. In general, 11 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 138 shares rose while 110 fell. Materials (+0.9%), Utilities (+2.2%), and Capital goods (+0.8%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, ACWA Power (+3.1%), Al Rajhi Bank (+0.7%), and Maaden (+2.2%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value of 64% and 45%, respectively, to reach 447mn shares and SAR4.9bn in value traded.

US stocks bounced back on Monday, recovering from last week's sell-off over tariff fears and weak jobs data. Communication Services led the rally with a 2.59% gain, followed by Information Technology up 2.15% and Utilities rising 1.74%. After last week's setback from U.S. tariffs, European stocks bounced back. Investors were bargain hunting, with positive trade and deal making news boosting optimism despite weak inflation data. The CAC 40 rose by 1.1%, the Euro STOXX 600 gained by 0.9%, the DAX increased by 1.4%, and the FTSE 100 experienced a gain of 0.7%.
