Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Monday, gaining 76 points (+0.7%) to close at the 11,076 level. TASI opened 36 points higher than the previous close, fluctuated throughout the session, and eventually closed in the green. In general, 12 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 70 shares rose while 171 fell. Utilities (+7.2%), Banks (+0.4%), and Energy (+0.7%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, ACWA Power (+9.8%), Aramco (+0.8%), and Al Rajhi Bank (+0.4%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value of 40% and 26% respectively, to reach 202mn shares and SAR4.3bn in value traded.

European shares started the week higher, bouncing back from last session’s losses as investors welcomed news that President Trump has postponed his planned 50% tariff on EU imports until July 9. The delay offered temporary relief to markets, which have been unsettled by Trump’s recurring tariff threats and frequent reversals. The DAX rose by 1.7%, the Euro STOXX 600 advanced by 1.0%, and the CAC 40 increased by 1.2%.
Asia-Pacific markets traded mixed on Monday as investors weighed President Trump’s decision to delay the 50% tariffs on European Union imports. While the postponement offered some relief, market sentiment remained cautious amid lingering concerns over Trump’s trade stance. The Nikkei 225 increased by 1.0% and the KOSPI advanced by 2.0%, while the Hang Seng dropped by -1.4% and the SHCOMP fell by -0.05%.
