Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Wednesday, gaining 103 points (+0.90%) to close at 11,589.05. The index opened 2 points below its previous close, but before closing it faced selling pressure, yet remained in the green zone. Overall, 21 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 222 shares rose while 38 fell. Banks ‎‎(+1.0%), Energy (+0.7%), and Telecommunication Services (+1.1%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Alrajhi (+1.0%), Saudi Aramco ‎‎(+0.7%), and Alinma (+2.1%) were the major contributors to the index rise. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume of +34% to reach ‎‎375mn shares, and increase of +22% to reach SAR 7.6bn in value traded.

 

 

Market Wrap International:

U.S. equities ended higher as optimism around easing Middle East tensions and strong early earnings releases supported risk appetite, while softer inflation signals helped sustain demand for growth stocks. Technology and AI-linked names led gains, with semiconductor and software shares outperforming as investors rotated back into high-growth sectors, even as Treasury yields edged higher. The NASDAQ rose 1.6%, the S&P 500 advanced ‎‎0.8%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped -0.1%.

European equities ended mixed, with sentiment more cautious as investors balanced the positive lead from Wall Street against ongoing geopolitical uncertainty and local macro considerations. Defensive sectors and energy provided relative support, while industrials and consumer-facing stocks weighed on broader indices amid a more selective risk tone. The FTSE 100 declined -‎‎0.5%, the DAX rose 0.1%, the CAC 40 fell -0.6%, and the EURO STOXX 600 dropped -0.4%.

Asian markets are trading higher as improved global risk sentiment and optimism around easing geopolitical tensions supported equities across the region, with investors also encouraged by resilient economic data and strong earnings expectations in technology sectors. Export-oriented and semiconductor stocks led gains, particularly in North Asia, while Chinese markets remained relatively stable amid mixed domestic signals. The KOSPI advanced 2.1%, the Nikkei 225 gained 0.4%, the Hang Seng increased 0.3%, and the SHCOMP rose 0.01%.
