Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Sunday, dropping 23 points (-0.2%) to close at 11,229. The index opened slightly below its previous close, then fluctuated in negative territory and remained under pressure through the end of the session. Overall, 8 out of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, while 170 shares fell and 82 rose. Banks (-0.5%), Energy (-0.8%), and Materials (-0.2%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, Aramco (-0.9%), Al Rajhi Bank (-0.5%), and Maaden (-1.2%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume and value of -37% and -44%, respectively, to reach 217mn shares and SAR3bn in value traded.
