Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Wednesday, gaining 57 points (+0.53%) to close at 10,856.90. The index opened 5 points above its previous close, but before closing it faced selling pressure, yet remained in the green zone. Overall, 18 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 176 shares rose while 82 fell. Real Estate Management & Development (+2.2%), Utilities (+1.6%), and Telecommunication Services (+1.2%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, ACWA Power (+1.5%), EIC (+7.6%), and SNB (+0.8%) were the major contributors to the index rise. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume and value of -4% and -9%, respectively, to reach 294mn shares and SAR 5bn in value traded.
