Market Wrap International:
U.S. equities ended last week supported by strong investor demand for SpaceX’s record-setting IPO, which reinforced confidence in growth sectors and revived optimism around the broader new-issuance market, while easing oil prices and expectations of reduced Middle East tensions further supported risk appetite. That constructive backdrop extended into Europe, where investors balanced the improving global sentiment against ongoing economic and policy considerations, allowing major markets to finish the week with a firmer tone as technology-related and cyclical sectors benefited from the stronger external environment. In Asia, the final trading session of the week reflected the same improvement in sentiment, with technology and export-oriented shares supported by the positive lead from Wall Street, lower energy prices, and a more favorable global risk backdrop, helping several key regional markets close the week on a stronger footing.
