Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Monday, dropping 21 points (-0.2%) to close at 11,195. The index opened above its previous close, then gradually declined after mid-session, recovering some losses but still closing in the red. Overall, 12 out of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, while 172 shares fell and 84 rose. Banks (-0.6%), Utilities (-1.1%), and Real Estate (-‎‎0.6%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, Saudi National Bank (-1.6%), Al Rajhi Bank (-‎‎0.5%), and ACWA Power (-1.4%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value of 59% and 44%, respectively, to reach 240mn shares and SAR4.4bn in value traded.

 

 

Market Wrap International:

U.S. equities ended higher as gains in technology shares and steady risk appetite supported broader benchmarks, while investors weighed macro data and the policy outlook without a clear shift in rate expectations. The advance was led by growth stocks, with selective participation across sectors, keeping momentum constructive into the close. The S&P 500 rose 0.5%, the NASDAQ gained 0.9%, and the Dow Jones increased 0.04%.

European equities ended higher, tracking positive global cues and supported by broad-based sector participation, particularly in industrials and cyclicals, while defensives also contributed modestly. Regional sentiment remained stable amid limited local data surprises and steady positioning. The FTSE 100 rose 0.2%, the DAX gained 1.2%, the CAC 40 increased 0.6%, and the EURO STOXX 600 advanced 0.7%.

Asian markets ended higher following improved global risk sentiment and strong gains in North Asian equities, with investors responding to supportive policy expectations and renewed interest in technology and export-oriented sectors. Japan and South Korea led regional performance, while China and Hong Kong also closed firmer. The Nikkei 225 rose 3.9%, the KOSPI surged 4.1%, the Hang Seng gained 1.8%, and the SHCOMP advanced 1.4%.
