Tadawul Review:  

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Monday, dropping by 107 points (-1.0%) to close at 10,792. TASI started the session on a negative note, opening 12 points lower than the previous close and continuing to gradually decline until the end of the session. Overall, all 21 sectors closed in the red zone, while 223 shares fell and 31 roses. Banks (-0.7%), Materials (-‎‎1.2%), and Real Estate (-2.0%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, Al Rajhi Bank (-0.6%), Almarai (-2.9%), and Aramco (-0.4%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value of 14% and 33%, respectively, to reach 267mn shares and SAR4.6bn in value traded.

 

 

Market Wrap International:

U.S. stocks dipped Monday as Trump extended the tariff deadline on Chinese goods by 90 days, with traders eyeing Tuesday’s inflation data. Energy (-0.79%), Real Estate (-0.65%), and Tech (-0.56%) led losses. The S&P 500 fell by -0.3%, NASDAQ dropped by -0.3%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average saw a decline of -0.5%.

European stocks fell as caution grew ahead of this week’s U.S. inflation report and tariff talks, while U.S.–Russia negotiations on Ukraine and weakness in defense stocks weighed on sentiment. The FTSE100 gained by 0.4%, while the CAC 40 decreased by -0.6%, the DAX saw a decline of -0.3%, and the Euro STOXX 600 declined by -0.1%.

Asian markets ended mixed, with local shares slipping as investors weighed regional economic signals, geopolitical developments, and upcoming corporate earnings. The SHCOMP gained by 0.3% and the Hang Seng experienced a gain of 0.2%, while the KOSPI posted a decrease of -0.1%.
