Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Tuesday, slipping by 34 points (-0.3%) to close at 10,291. The index opened slightly below its previous close, briefly rose for a few minutes, but then faced fluctuations in a downward trend until the end of the day. In general, ‏15‏ out of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, while 178 shares fell and 80 rose. Banks (-1.1%), Telecommunications (-1.1%), and Utilities (-1.0%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, Al Rajhi Bank (-0.8%), Riyad Bank (-3.5%), and Saudi Bahri (-5.6%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume and value of -21% and -11%, respectively, to reach 192mn shares and SAR3.6bn in value traded.

 

 

 

Market Wrap International:

U.S. equities ended with broad gains, buoyed by strong technology leadership and continued investor optimism around growth prospects. The S&P 500 rose 0.6%, the Dow Jones increased 1.0%, and the NASDAQ gained 0.6% in the latest session, as major indexes pushed to fresh highs and signals of resilient economic momentum supported risk appetite. This strength in benchmark indices reflects broader market confidence, driven in part by elevated tech stocks and cyclical sector performance that helped lift the major averages.

European equities ended modestly higher, extending a broader rally in global risk assets and shrugging off geopolitical headwinds. The FTSE 100 advanced 1.2%, the DAX rose 0.1%, the CAC 40 climbed 0.3%, and the EURO STOXX 600 was up ‎‎0.6%, with energy, defense, and healthcare stocks among contributors as investors priced in supportive macro conditions. European markets have been buoyed by recent record highs and resilient corporate performance, underscoring a sustained bid for risk assets in the region.

 

Asian markets are trading sharply higher, with major regional benchmarks extending gains in a broad equity rally. The Shanghai Composite SHCOMP increased 1.5%, South Korea’s KOSPI gained 1.5%, Japan’s Nikkei 225 rose 1.3%, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng advanced 1.4% moves that align with today’s actual trading strength across Asia as investors responded to global cues.
