Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Monday, dropping 7 points (-0.07%) to close at 10,427. TASI opened the session lower by 7 points and fluctuated throughout the day before ending in negative territory. Overall, 6 out of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, while 89 shares fell and 160 rose. Banks (-1.3%), Telecommunications (-0.8%), and Food and beverages (-‎‎0.4%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, Al Rajhi Bank (-2.1%), Saudi National Bank (-‎‎0.7%), and Etihad Etisalat (-2.0%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value of 56% and 137%, respectively, to reach 240mn shares and SAR6.5bn in value traded.

 

 

Market Wrap International:

U.S. stocks advanced as gains in technology and large-cap names supported optimism ahead of the Federal Reserve’s policy meeting. The S&P 500 closed higher 0.5%, the Dow Jones added 0.1%, while the Nasdaq outperformed with 0.9%.

European markets posted a mixed performance, with financials and industrials lending support on the continent. The DAX rose 0.2%, the CAC 40 gained 0.9%, and the Euro STOXX 600 edged up 0.4%, while the FTSE 100 slipped 0.1%.

Asian markets traded without clear direction as investors awaited signals from the Fed. The SHCOMP retreated 0.3%, while the Kospi rose 0.3% and the Hang Seng advanced 0.2%.
