Tadawul Review:

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Sunday, ‎increasing 25 points (0.2%) ‎to close at ‎‎11,837. The index ‎initially opened 7 points lower than the previous closing ‎level, but experienced increased volatility mid-session ‎before ultimately trending higher by the close. Overall, ‎‎12 out of 20 sectors ended in the green, ‎with 144 shares ‎declining and 96 advancing. Energy‎‎ (1.5%), Utilities ‎‎(1.2%), and Insurance (1.7%) sectors ‎were the largest ‎contributors to the ‎ increase. Among ‎individual stocks, ‎Aramco (1.5%), ACWA Power (1.5%), ‎and Dar Al Arkan ‎‎(7.5%) led the ‎gains. Trading ‎activity saw a -26% fell in ‎volume, ‎with 189 million ‎shares traded, and a -44% decrease in ‎value, totaling SAR ‎‎4 billion.‎

 

 

 

Market Wrap International:

The U.S. inflation report for February, set for release on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, will include Core CPI (MoM), CPI (YoY), and CPI (MoM) data, offering key insights into price pressures across the economy.

On Friday, March 14, 2025, European markets will focus on German CPI (MoM) (Feb) and UK GDP (MoM) (Jan), as investors assess inflation trends in Europe’s largest economy and the growth trajectory of the UK.

Japan’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for Q4 (Quarter-on-Quarter) is set to be released on Monday, March 10, 2025. This data will provide insight into the country’s economic performance during the final quarter of 2024.
