Tadawul Review: 

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Tuesday, up by +54 points (+0.4%) to close at 12,477 levels. TASI started the session negatively, by -16 points, but then started to rise gradually during the session untill the end. In general, 6 of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 82 shares rose while 135 fell. Materials (+2.5%), Banks (+0.5%), and Health care equipment and services (+1.5%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Sabic (+5.5%), Al Rajhi Bank (+0.9%), and ACWA Power (+1.4%) were the major contributors to the index’s rise. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value of 11% and 8%, respectively, to reach 275mn shares and SAR 7.6bn in value traded.

 

 

 

Market Wrap International:

In the U.S., the S&P 500 saw declined on Tuesday -0.7%, pressured by climbing Treasury yields and Tesla. Strong recent economic data has added uncertainty about the Federal Reserve's timing for potential interest rate cuts. The Nasdaq composite saw a -1.0% decline, and the Dow Jones fell by -1.0%.

In Europe, stocks started the second quarter sluggishly, impacted by a decline in healthcare shares. The Stoxx Europe 600 index dropped by -0.8%, and the FTSE 100 fell by -0.2%. Investors examined Germany's inflation data for clues on potential interest rate changes by the European Central Bank.

In Asia, markets mixed as investors assessed a slew of economic data from South Korea and Australia. The Hang Seng Index led gains in the region, recording a 2.4% increase, while the Shanghai Composite Index fell by -0.1%. Additionally, the Nikkei 225 rose by 0.1% while TOPIX index experienced declines of -0.2%
