Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Tuesday, gaining 59 points (+0.52%) to close at 11,486.18. The index opened in line with its previous close, but before closing it faced selling pressure, yet remained in the green zone. Overall, 20 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 218 shares rose while 42 fell. Banks ‎‎(+0.4%), Materials (+0.8%), and Utilities (+2.4%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, ACWA Power (+3.3%), Alrajhi (+0.6%), and Sabic ‎‎(+2.0%) were the major contributors to the index rise. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume and value of -2% and -8%, respectively, to reach 279mn shares and SAR 6.2bn in value traded.

 

 

 

 

 

Market Wrap International:

U.S. equities ended higher as easing concerns around Middle East tensions and softer-than-expected producer price data improved risk appetite, while optimism around the start of earnings season supported sentiment. Technology and semiconductor stocks led gains, benefiting from lower yields and stronger earnings expectations, while energy shares lagged as oil prices declined. The NASDAQ rose 2.0%, the S&P 500 advanced ‎‎1.2%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.7%.

European equities ended higher, supported by the positive lead from Wall Street and improved global risk sentiment as energy price pressures eased. Cyclical sectors including industrials and financials outperformed, while defensives lagged amid the stronger equity tone. The FTSE 100 gained 0.2%, the DAX advanced 1.3%, the CAC 40 rose 1.1%, and the EURO STOXX ‎‎600 increased 1.0%.

 

Asian markets are trading higher, following the strong U.S. lead and improved sentiment around global growth and technology demand. Gains were led by export-oriented and semiconductor sectors, particularly in North Asia, while broader regional markets reflected continued investor optimism. The Nikkei 225 gained 2.4%, the KOSPI advanced 2.7%, the Hang Seng rose ‎‎0.8%, and the SHCOMP increased 1.0%.
