The S&P 500 fell 1.1%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.3%, and the NASDAQ dropped 2.1%.

European equities ended higher as easing bond yields and improved risk sentiment supported a recovery following recent technology-sector volatility on Wall Street. The FTSE 100 gained 0.4%, the DAX rose 0.9%, the CAC 40 advanced 0.3%, and the EURO STOXX 600 added 0.7%.
