Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose for the fifth consecutive day on Sunday, gaining 134 points (+1.2%) to close at 11,203. TASI opened 37 points higher than the previous close and gradually increased throughout the day until the end. In general, 19 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 218 shares rose while 31 fell. Banks (+1.8%), Materials (+0.9%), and Telecommunications (+1.2%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Al Rajhi Bank (+2.4%), Riyad Bank (+3.3%), and Etihad Etisalat (+4.3%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume and value of -19% and -11%, respectively, to reach 250mn shares and SAR5.0bn in value traded.

 

Market Wrap International:

On Monday, June 30, attention will be on the UK’s GDP data for Q1, with both year-over-year and quarter-over-quarter figures due, alongside Germany’s CPI (MoM) for June.

Tuesday, July 1, will bring fresh inflation data with the release of the Eurozone’s CPI (YoY) for June. Markets will also be watching Fed Chair Powell’s speech for any signals. Hong Kong markets will be closed in observance of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Establishment Day.
