Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Tuesday, gaining 57 points (+0.5%) to close at 11,155. The index opened 48 points below its previous close, then gradually increased during the session and stabilized in the green zone until the end of the session. In general, ‎‎13 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 151 shares rose while 102 fell. Banks (+1.0%), Energy ‎‎(+0.6%), and Insurance (+2.9%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Saudi National Bank ‎‎(+1.7%), Aramco (+0.6%), and Saudi Fransi (+3.0%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed a decreased in volume and value of -7% and -17%, respectively, to reach 209mn shares and SAR3.8bn in value traded.

 

 

Market Wrap International:

U.S. equities ended higher as investor sentiment improved on the back of easing Treasury yields and renewed strength in large-cap technology shares, while market participants continued to assess the Federal Reserve’s policy outlook and incoming economic data. Gains were led by technology and communication services, with cyclical sectors also contributing to the advance as risk appetite firmed into the close. The S&P500 rose 0.6%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.3%, and the NASDAQ advanced 0.8%.

European equities ended firmly higher, supported by a constructive global risk tone and strength in industrials, financials, and technology stocks, while investors also digested regional economic updates and corporate earnings. Broad-based buying lifted core benchmarks across the region, with exporters and cyclical sectors outperforming as sentiment tracked Wall Street’s gains. The FTSE100 advanced 1.2%, the DAX gained ‎‎1.1%, the CAC40 rose 0.8%, and the EURO STOXX 600 increased 1.2%.

Asian markets are trading with a mixed and holiday-thinned tone across the region, reflecting limited participation in some major markets and selective strength in Japan following the positive lead from Wall Street. Export-oriented and technology shares supported Tokyo’s benchmark, while mainland China, Hong Kong, and South Korea remained closed. The Nikkei225 advanced 1.0%, while the SHCOMP, Hang Seng, and KOSPI were closed.
