Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Wednesday, dropping by -16 points (-0.1%) to close at 11,278. The index opened 3 points lower than its previous closing level and continued to gradually decline, eventually settling in the red zone. Overall, 13 out of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, while 109 shares fell and 140 rose. Utilities (-2.2%), Banks (-0.2%), and Energy (-0.8%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, ACWA Power (-3.1%), Aramco (-0.9%), and Almarai (-1.8%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume by -26% to reach 347mn shares, while the value increased by 3% to reach SAR5.4bn in value traded.

Asian markets ended the day with a mixed tone as investors took a cautious approach, making sense on President Trump’s latest tariff threats. The KOSPI rose by 0.6% and the NIKKEI 225 increased by 0.3%. In contrast, the Hang Seng fell -1.1% and the SHCOMP saw a drop of -0.1%.
