Tadawul Review:  

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Monday, dropping by 6 points (-0.1%) to close at 10,898. The index opened 4 points lower than its previous close, then fluctuated throughout the session before closing in the red zone. Overall, 9 out of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, while 147 shares fell and 100 roses. Materials (-1.2%), Utilities ‎‎(-1.5%), and Telecommunications (-0.4%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, ACWA Power (-1.8%), Aramco (-0.3%), and Saudi National Bank (-0.8%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume of 11% to reach ‎‎252mn while the value decreased by -4% to reach SAR3.9bn value traded.

 

 

Market Wrap International:

U.S. stocks declined as investors locked in gains from last week’s rally, amid political uncertainty surrounding the Fed. Sector performance was mixed, with modest gains in Electronic Technology (%0.18+) and Energy Minerals (%0.20+), while Health Technology (%1.63-) and Retail Trade (%0.52-) underperformed. By the close, the S&P 500 fell (%0.4-), Dow Jones (%0.8-), and Nasdaq (%0.2-).

European markets retreated as caution resurfaced after the Fed-driven rally, with weak manufacturing sentiment and pressure on energy-related stocks weighing on performance. The DAX (%0.4-), CAC (%1.6-), and Euro STOXX 600 (%0.4-) all ended lower.

Asian markets advanced on optimism over U.S. rate cuts and strong gains in Chinese and Hong Kong shares. The Shanghai Composite (%1.5+), Kospi (%1.3+), Nikkei 225 (%0.4+), and Hang Seng (%1.9+) all finished higher.
