Market Wrap International:

The global equity markets were muted again on Tuesday with investors deciding to adopt a wait and see approach ahead of the Fed's policy decision next week. The economic data in Europe and lack of progress on the much-hyped stimulus package in China too kept the investors on the sidelines. Oil prices moved sideways a day after the initial impact of production cut. In the U.S, the key equity benchmarks, S&P ‎‎500 and Nasdaq Composite were little changed at session with ‎‎0.2% and 0.4% move. The tech names which have rallied the index in the past session were relatively subdued.

In Europe, the economic data from Germany on factory output added to a list of key indicators in the region showing possible steep slowdown in economic activity. The Stoxx Europe 600 Index close at +0.4%.

In Asia, investors were positive on the prospects of target measures in China and news flow of possible cut in deposit rate to stimulate demand. However the key indices in the country moved sideways (Hang Seng” +0.05%, Shanghai Composite: -1.1%). Indices in Japan led the charge for the second straight session (Topxi:+0.7%). Other indices were broadly mixed in the range of +0.9to -0.2%.
