Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Monday, up by +10 points (+0.1%) to close at 12,772 levels. TASI started the session positively, opening with a gain of +21 points and continued steady during the session until the end. In general, 10 of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 115  shares rose while 111  fell. Banks (+0.4%), Real Estate (+2.4%), and Food and beverages (+1.6%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Saudi National Bank (+1.9%), Saudi Awwal Bank (+2.5%), and Savola (+4.7%) were the major contributors to the index’s rise. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value of 77% and 22%, respectively, to reach 672mn shares and SAR11.1bn in value traded.

 

 

 

Market Wrap International:

In the U.S., the S&P 500 rose 0.6%, with nine sectors experiencing gains, ahead of this week's Federal Reserve meeting which expects the Fed to maintain stable borrowing costs and provide guidance on its monetary policy direction for the year. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq composite saw a 0.8% increase, and the Dow Jones rose by 0.2%.

In Europe, the Stoxx Europe 600 index fell by -0.2%, and the FTSE 100 fell by -0.1%. Investors are cautiously analyzing domestic inflation data and eagerly anticipating central bank meetings scheduled for this week.

 

In Asia, the Hang Seng rose by 0.1%, and the Shanghai Composite Index experienced gains of 1.0% as China delivered positive surprises with better-than-expected industrial output and retail sales data. Meanwhile, in Japan, both the Nikkei 225 and TOPIX index experienced gains of 2.7% and 1.9%, respectively.
